One of the important debates related to knowledge is its relationship with will. Is knowledge based on the will created, or does it have the characteristic of representation independently of the will? This is one of the basic questions in the sociology of knowledge. In this article, the Sociology of knowledge of Peter Berger is discussed. First, a short report of his view on knowledge is presented in the method of interpretation inspired by Plamenatz. In the second part, the concept of "Nafs al-Amr" of knowledge in Islamic philosophy is considered and based on the meaning of truth in knowledge, what, why and necessity of "Nafs al-Amr" is discussed. In relation to knowledge, three aspects are distinguished: two of them are constructed, while the other possesses the characteristic of representation. In the third part, based on the perspective of "Nafs al-Amr", Berger's sociology of knowledge is criticized. Berger thinks in the field of constructivism, and attention to the "Reality itself" is considered an exception in his thought. The aspect of representation of knowledge disappears in Berger's sociological analysis.
