Abstract:   (155 Views)
One of the common methods of international institutions to influence the behavior of countries in the world on various issues is to determine an index and rank them based on specific goals. In this regard, the World Bank has evaluated countries by determining the "Women, Business and Law" index in the field of women's economic role, with the Islamic Republic of Iran ranked 176th out of 180 countries. A scientific study of the 2023 "Women, Business and Law" index based on the critical analysis method shows that this index lacks the necessary validity and competence to determine the index and evaluate countries based on it and regulate international relations based on that evaluation, due to reasons such as "lack of attention to customs, culture, traditions, environment and the will of the people, especially women in each region", "the atheistic and anti-Sharia nature of the indicators", "inappropriate data collection method", "invalid information and erroneous statements in evaluating the indicators" and other scientific criticisms. Also, by considering the third civilizational model of women, by overcoming the reductionist dichotomy of Eastern-Western women, it provides the possibility of playing a role in the family and social arenas. This research emphasizes the necessity of designing indigenous indicators based on religious and cultural foundations and highlights the need to adhere to the principle of negating the mustache in interactions with international institutions.
