Abstract
The study of “non-cognitive foundation of action” in the realm of “philosophy of action” based on MullaSadra’s works is a new and fundamental step of Islamic philosophy to participate in new emerging issues. The special issue of this research is to explain those non-cognitive foundations which influence human actions and to explain the roles of each foundation and their relations with each other and with cognitive faculties.
According to the scope of this study, seven principles of non-cognitive foundations of human actions are examined based on MullaSadra’s viewpoints: 1. Love: Love is the cause of demanding the action and its issuance (execution) and as the result of the loving process, the lover’s soul is transformed and changed and then the action is issued (executed) as a result of lover’s alliance with beloved’s soul. In another method, moreover, the lover’s issuance of action happens due to favorability of resembling to beloved and is recognized the main driver of all actions; 2. Dispositions of Souls: there is a dialectical relationship between actions and dispositions which could strengthen; 3. Derives: Derives are considered of causes and stimulus of will and consequently are considered as one of footstones of human actions; 4. Sin: Sin causes disorder in the process of action issuance due to its unfavorable dispositions of souls, absorption of satanic derives and it also can be an obstacle and sign of epistemic impairment;5. Fanaticism: it is the cause of action issuance which stems from formation of those perceptions similar to one’s own. 6. Custom:  when added to imagination, custom creates an imaginary pleasure which leads to a lot of action. 7. Human nature: According to obtained definition, human nature includes all actions which accord to temperament and its doer doesn’t have effective awareness about the action, such as breathing, heartbeat, vegetal actions, temper, etc.
